On the afternoon of August 5, Comrade Vu Viet Van—Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee—chaired a conference to review several social housing projects and assess the progress of formulating, appraising, and approving master plans for 72 communes across the province.

Comrade Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van delivers a directing address at the conference.
The Social Housing Area Project in Van Phu Ward, proposed for investment by Terra Viet Nam Group Joint Stock Company, spans a scale of over 5.1 hectares with an estimated total investment exceeding VND 1,800 billion. The project features four 14-story social housing apartment towers encompassing 1,040 units and a total construction floor area of nearly 130,000 m2, alongside a synchronized technical infrastructure system, green spaces, and parking lots. According to plan, the project will be deployed from Q4/2026 through Q4/2029, meeting housing demands for policy beneficiaries and contributing to the province’s social housing development targets.
Providing feedback on the appraisal report, investment policy approval, and developer assignment for this project, Comrade Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van agreed with the proposal from the Department of Construction while requiring adjustments to the master plan to align seamlessly with zonal planning. Simultaneously, utility standards must be calculated with a long-term vision, prioritizing social infrastructure, transport connectivity, parking capacity, and recreational spaces.

Leaders of the Department of Construction present a report at the conference.
The DHS Binh Nguyen Social Housing Area Project in Binh Nguyen Commune (proposed by DHS Real Estate Joint Stock Company) spans over 5.6 hectares with a projected total investment of VND 2,330 billion. It features six 20-story apartment towers with 1 basement level, offering nearly 2,000 units alongside other social infrastructure works. Directing feedback on this project, Comrade Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van requested the Department of Construction to re-examine planning and, if necessary, introduce an alternative location to the investor—prioritizing advantageous areas with existing connected infrastructure to develop commercial housing and enhance land use value.
At the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee demanded definitive resolution regarding assigned projects that have failed to deploy. Land funds recovered following revocation will be converted into public green spaces or reassigned to new, capable investors.
Also at the meeting, leadership of the Provincial People’s Committee provided input on the progress report concerning the formulation, appraisal, and approval of master plans for 72 communes across the province.
