FDI Attraction in Phu Tho Industrial Parks Rises 3.6-Fold in Eight Months

Investment attraction in industrial parks (IPs) across Phu Tho Province continued to post positive results in August and the first eight months of 2026. Notably, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction surged, with capital reaching 3.6 times the level recorded in the same period of 2025.

In August, the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board issued new investment registration certificates for eight projects and approved capital increases for 13 projects.

Total FDI attracted reached 184.92 million USD, including 32.16 million USD from five newly licensed projects and 152.76 million USD from 11 projects registering additional capital. Domestic investment (DDI) totaled more than 2.094 trillion VND, comprising more than 1.667 trillion VND from three new projects and more than 426 billion VND from two projects increasing their investment capital.

In the first eight months of 2026, industrial parks across the province attracted more than 2.059 billion USD in FDI, including 18 newly licensed projects and 59 projects registering additional capital. This was 3.6 times higher than in the same period of 2025, reaching 138% of the original annual target and 98% of the revised and supplemented target. DDI attraction reached 13.235 trillion VND from 22 newly licensed projects and 12 projects increasing their investment capital, equivalent to 116% of the same period in 2025 and 78% of the annual target.

To date, industrial parks across the province have 855 valid secondary investment projects, comprising 326 DDI projects with total registered capital of 66.92465 trillion VND and 529 FDI projects with total registered capital of 11.63257 billion USD.
