On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2024), on the afternoon of July 22, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to the Center for Nursing Meritorious People in Phu Tho Province.

Joining the delegation on the provincial side were: Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vi Manh Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department.

The Center for Nursing Meritorious People in Phu Tho Province is currently treating 28 seriously wounded and sick soldiers, with a disability rate of over 81%. Despite many difficulties in terms of facilities, the war invalids and sick soldiers are getting older and their health is getting weaker, but in recent years, the Center has always strived to fulfill its tasks well with love and responsibility, contributing to alleviating the pain of injuries and overcoming oneself.

Visiting and encouraging war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution at the center, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his deep gratitude to the people, generations of comrades, war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who have devoted, sacrificed, and spared no blood for the cause of national liberation, so that the country can have an independent and developed day like today. He affirmed that in recent years, the Party and State have always paid special attention to war invalids, sick soldiers, families with preferential policies, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; especially, War Invalids and Martyrs Day is an occasion for the whole Party and people to show gratitude to the families of war invalids and martyrs and those who have contributed to the country.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia hopes that war invalids and sick soldiers will always maintain their faith, overcome difficulties, defeat diseases, live happily and healthily, continue to promote their role, be worthy of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, set an example, encourage their children and grandchildren to make more efforts, contribute to building happy families, and join hands for the development of the locality and the country. Recognizing and appreciating the contributions of the cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Center in nursing, caring for, and restoring the health of war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the past time, he requested the cadres and employees of the Center to continue to promote the tradition of the unit, take the best care of the material and spiritual lives of war invalids and sick soldiers, contribute to the successful completion of assigned tasks, and build the homeland and the country to become more and more beautiful.
