Over 300,000 Visitors Flock to Au Co Mother Temple During Tet and 2026 Spring Festival

During this year’s Lunar New Year and early spring festival, the Au Co Mother Temple in Hien Luong Commune welcomed over 300,000 pilgrims and tourists from across the country who came to offer incense and perform rituals.

The Female Sacrifice Ritual (the main ceremony) at Au Co Mother Temple was organized in a solemn and meaningful manner.

According to the Organizing Committee, the peak period for visitors was from the 1st to the 7th day of the first lunar month. On the two main festival days alone (the 6th and 7th days), the site received approximately 80,000 people. This marks the first year following the implementation of the two-level local government model; consequently, the festival organization was carried out by Hien Luong Commune in a meticulous, systematic, and synchronous manner—ranging from traffic diversion, security, and fire safety to landscape decoration and environmental hygiene.

The festive section, featuring various cultural activities, created a joyful atmosphere and attracted a large audience of locals and tourists.

Alongside the solemn and significant rituals, the festive section was lively with numerous cultural and artistic activities and folk games. These contributed to the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the early spring days, leaving a lasting positive impression on both residents and visitors.
