Phu Tho Attracts 150 Agricultural Investment Projects
With its vast agricultural potential, Phu Tho has become an attractive destination for investors. As of now, 150 investment projects have been approved in the agriculture and agricultural product processing sectors.
Among these, 6 are foreign direct investment (FDI) projects, with a registered capital of 56 million USD, and 144 are domestic direct investment (DDI) projects, with a registered capital of 8,607.6 billion VND, covering more than 4,498 hectares of land. These projects span various fields, including wood processing, vegetables, livestock, and crop cultivation, promising to create a new wave of economic and social development for the province.
The attraction of 150 investment projects in agriculture (accounting for 10.7% of the total number of privately-invested projects approved and granted investment registration certificates in the province) not only helps boost economic growth but also creates numerous job opportunities, improving the livelihoods of the people. In particular, these projects contribute to environmental protection and the sustainable development of rural areas.
By the end of August 2024, the projects had contributed 122.4 billion VND to the budget, created jobs for nearly 4,400 workers, and helped form concentrated production areas (such as tea processing and wood processing) in several districts like Ha Hoa, Doan Hung, Thanh Ba, and Thanh Son, facilitating the integration of production and processing activities.
