Phu Tho’s HSA score increased by 8 levels
In 2024, Phu Tho has 1,528 candidates participating in Hanoi National University’s HSA score. Phu Tho’s HSA score increased by 8 levels, ranking 7th out of 63 provinces and cities (ranked 15th in 2023).

The HSA score consists of 3 parts with objective multiple-choice questions (choosing answers) and fill-in-the-blank questions in the fields of mathematics, literature and language, and natural and social sciences. The score is calculated based on the total number of correct answers, and no points are deducted for incorrect answers. Most universities that use HSA scores can accept applications based on the total score of the test. However, some schools may have additional requirements, such as that the science test score must reach a certain threshold.
Currently, the HSA test at the Hanoi National University Examination Center is only taken on computers. Candidates take the test from Part 1 to Part 3 in turn. Each part has 50 scored questions plus 1-2 unscored test questions. The test questions are mixed randomly into the parts. The test time for parts with test questions will be extended by 2-4 minutes.
