Prioritizing “Green Lane” Processing in Implementing Rental Housing Projects

On the morning of June 25, Comrade Vu Viet Van - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) chaired a meeting to provide feedback on the report and proposals to implement Official Dispatch No. 19/CD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction on accelerating the development of rental housing in the province in 2026 and the 2026 - 2030 period; simultaneously, the meeting reviewed the PPC’s draft directive on the goal of breaking ground on at least 1 rental housing project and 1 budget-funded housing project right within June 2026. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Construction and related departments and sectors.

After hearing the discussion opinions, Vice Chairman of the PPC Vu Viet Van basically agreed with the proposals from the Department of Construction and related departments and sectors. He requested units to continue researching and advising the province on allocating the budget for official public duty housing investments, and to prioritize the allocation of “clean” (clear) land funds for rental housing and official residence projects.

The PPC Vice Chairman noted that for rental housing and official residence projects, a “green lane” (fast-track priority) must be prioritized in handling administrative procedures to deploy them at the earliest time, ensuring the housing fund of official residences and rental homes for officials, civil servants, and public employees within the province’s administrative apparatus, as well as other eligible subjects as regulated.

Related departments and sectors need to urgently complete draft legal documents on rental housing and official residences to submit to the PPC and functional agencies for consideration and decision according to their competence.
