Promoting policy communication and publicizing the image of Phu Tho province

On December 17, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu – Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) – chaired a conference to hear a report from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism regarding the Strategic Scheme for Promoting policy communication and publicizing the image of Phu Tho province for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2035.

The project aims to build a policy communication ecosystem and create and promote the image of Phu Tho province as a modern, dynamic, friendly, integrated, and sustainably developing province; affirming Phu Tho as the cradle of the Vietnamese nation with unique traditional cultural values; and as an attractive destination for tourism, cooperation, investment, and innovation.

The goal for the 2026-2030 period is to build and announce a brand identity for Phu Tho province with a consistent communication message, a clear and distinctive image, capable of spreading on national and international platforms. Positioning Phu Tho province as a new growth pole of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region with significant potential for eco-tourism and cultural tourism.

The vision for 2035 is to complete a transparent and professional policy communication system, centered around the people and businesses. International brand positioning: “Phu Tho - The sacred ancestral land, embodying Vietnamese cultural identity, a green, innovative, and integrated destination.”

The project’s objectives include: developing a brand identity for Phu Tho province; communicating through information channels of agencies, units, and localities within the province; cooperating with press agencies; communicating and promoting on digital and internet platforms; mobilizing the participation of celebrities and influencers...Discussions at the conference suggested clarifying key communication content about Phu Tho province; paying attention to communication on national and international television channels and major newspapers; promoting the image of Phu Tho province through films, photos, and modern media channels...

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu requested the drafting agency to incorporate the opinions expressed at the conference to further refine the Project Proposal. Specifically, it is necessary to add content on the necessity of issuing the Project Proposal and its impact assessment after issuance, assign specific tasks to relevant units, clarify communication strategies, and carefully calculate the resources required to ensure feasibility and suitability with the province’s budget.
