In late December, the open spaces along the village roads and alleys of Dai Dong Hamlet (Yen Tri Commune) light up with the vibrant yellow of heavy-laden Dien pomelo trees. The gentle fragrance and sweet taste of these year-end fruits have become a familiar sign of a bountiful harvest, ushering in a prosperous new spring. Currently, Dai Dong Hamlet boasts over 130 hectares of Dien pomelo, with an estimated output of more than 2,000 tons this year. Notably, 31 hectares managed by the Dai Dong Agricultural Cooperative are grown under VietGAP standards. In this crop season, Dai Dong is expected to export over 50 tons of pomelo to international markets, asserting the quality and value of this local specialty.
