The People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 1669/UBND-KGVX16 dated January 30, 2026, regarding the organization of fireworks displays in communes and wards for the Year of the Horse 2026. Accordingly, the Provincial People’s Committee has approved 12 wards and communes to host fireworks displays, including: Xuan Hoa, Phu Tho, Hien Luong, Dan Thuong, Tay Coc, Dong Thanh, Cam Khe, Mai Chau, Luong Son, Yen Thuy, An Nghia, and Kim Boi.
List of approved communes and wards for fireworks displays on Lunar New Year’s Eve 2026.
The displays will take place on Lunar New Year’s Eve 2026, using low-altitude fireworks with a duration not exceeding 15 minutes. Funding for the fireworks will be sourced from private donations and socialization (no State budget funds will be used).
The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Provincial Military Command to lead and coordinate with the relevant local People’s Committees to organize the events, ensuring absolute safety. The Provincial Police will direct local police forces to develop plans and deploy personnel to maintain security, order, and absolute safety for the public at all launch sites.
The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will collaborate with relevant agencies to oversee the implementation of the displays. They will also provide guidance on organizing cultural, artistic, and grassroots sporting activities to create a joyful, unified, and exciting atmosphere for the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year safely and healthily.
The People’s Committees of the approved wards and communes—Xuan Hoa, Phu Tho, Hien Luong, Dan Thuong, Tay Coc, Dong Thanh, Cam Khe, Mai Chau, Luong Son, Yen Thuy, An Nghia, and Kim Boi—must work closely with the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police, and other units to ensure the displays are practical, effective, and compliant with current legal regulations. They are also required to develop plans for security, order, and fire prevention during the events.
Thus, in addition to the three fireworks locations in three major wards—Viet Tri, Hoa Binh, and Vinh Phuc (which will feature a mix of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks)—Phu Tho province will have a total of 15 fireworks display sites on Lunar New Year’s Eve 2026.
