Brilliant Colors of Flags and Flowers to Celebrate National Day

During the final days of August, the vibrant atmosphere celebrating National Day on September 2 diffuses across roads, villages, and residential neighborhoods throughout the province. From central streets to high-altitude mountain communes, Party flags, National flags, banners, posters, and slogans are colorfully decorated. Every street, alley, and countryside lane is neatly spruced up, contributing to a joyful and enthusiastic appearance that reflects the people’s pride and spirit of solidarity toward the nation’s major holiday.

In Tan Hoa ward, the red color of the National Flag stands out along roads and in front of every household. Residents proactively clean up alleys, renovate home grounds, and hang flags in accordance with regulations, creating a dignified atmosphere during these historic Autumn days.

Ms. Mui Thi Mo, a resident of Tan Hoa ward, shared: “During holidays, Tet, and especially every National Day occasion, my family hangs the National Flag in front of our house with immense pride. The red flag with the yellow star constantly reminds our family members of the years of struggle and sacrifice by previous generations so that our country can enjoy peace and prosperity today.”

Not only in urban areas, but decorative and landscape improvement efforts are also being implemented synchronously across communes. Local authorities, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations actively advocate and encourage citizens to hang the National Flag, maintain environmental sanitation, and build bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscapes. Through this, the spirit directed toward National Day spreads from every family, residential village, and neighborhood group to every roadway.

Joining the atmosphere of emulation to welcome National Day, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Minh Dai commune constructed a model flower garden project in Minh Tam village. The project involved the joint efforts of cadres, union members, association members, and local residents—creating a landscape focal point while contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

The flower garden features various plant species such as yellow elder, crepe myrtle, crepe jasmine, red ixora, Thai moss-rose purslane, and Madagascar periwinkle. The flowers are arranged to suit the space, forming vibrant patches of color that beautify the roadway and residential area. Alongside this, flag-lined roads create brilliant colors in the autumn sunlight. This is not only a work to celebrate National Day but also leverages the people’s strength to build rural landscapes. From the flower beds planted today, environmental awareness, landscape care, and civilized community building continue to spread across the community.

Party flags and National flags fluttering in the autumn breeze create a brilliant and dignified appearance. On this occasion, many villages and neighborhood groups have also implemented the “United, Prosperous, and Happy Residential Area” model with many meaningful activities, such as building flag streets, flower-lined roads, digital citizen corners at cultural centers, social welfare models, handing over Great Solidarity houses, and giving gifts to students in difficult circumstances preparing for the new school year. These practical activities are even more meaningful as they foster community bonding and promote the people’s role as key actors in building their homeland. Every project and task, large or small, carries the affection and responsibility of cadres and citizens toward their native land.

In addition, local authorities guide and encourage citizens to hang the National Flag on time and according to standard specifications, while proactively sprucing up houses, village roads, and neighborhood alleys. Many residential areas organize general cleanups, clear brush and foliage, collect waste, and tend to flower roads to create clean and beautiful landscapes to welcome the major holiday.
