Capacity Building Workshop on Attracting New-Generation FDI

On August 28, the Provincial Investment Promotion and Business Support Center organized a training workshop on attracting new-generation Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The event drew nearly 100 participants, including representatives from local manufacturing and business enterprises, industrial park infrastructure developers, and officials from various communes and wards across the province.

An expert from the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Finance) presents a topic on developing foreign-invested economic sectors and enhancing investment promotion efficiency.

During the program, delegates heard presentations from experts representing the Academy of Policy and Development and the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Finance) covering key topics: the geopolitical context and international economic shifts impacting FDI flows and global supply chain relocation trends; opportunities and challenges in FDI attraction for the province; emerging issues in developing foreign-invested economic sectors, innovating and improving investment promotion efficiency; and standardizing databases while enhancing professionalism among investment promotion personnel.

The training program aimed to update, supplement, and elevate knowledge and skills in attracting new-generation FDI for investment promotion officers, state management agencies, and businesses.

Through these efforts, the program contributes to executing the province’s orientation to proactively catch the global supply chain shifting wave, efficiently attracting high-quality capital flows into high-tech, electronics, and green industry sectors.
