Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee Offers Incense in Tribute to Heroes and Martyrs in Dien Bien

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2025), Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee, led a delegation to offer incense and lay wreaths in tribute to heroes and martyrs at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs’ Temple, A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, and Tong Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery in Dien Bien Province.

The delegation of Phu Tho Province offers incense and flowers to commemorate heroes and martyrs at A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery.

The delegation included Mr. Nguyen Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Mr. Vu A Bang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People’s Committee; along with leaders of various provincial departments, agencies, and organizations.

At the Martyrs’ Temple, A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, and Tong Khao Martyrs’ Cemetery, the chairman and the delegation respectfully laid wreaths and offered incense in memory of the heroic martyrs, including those from Phu Tho who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives for national liberation.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence at each site to honor the fallen. With deep gratitude, the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho Province pledged to remain united, promote patriotic emulation movements, successfully implement the two-level local government model, and build a more prosperous and civilized province.

They also emphasized the importance of educating younger generations about the patriotic traditions and revolutionary spirit of their predecessors. At the same time, the province continues to prioritize social welfare, hunger eradication, and poverty reduction and remains committed to honoring the principle of “repaying gratitude” in the most meaningful ways.

The chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, on behalf of the leadership and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho, signs the memorial book at A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery.

Visiting and paying tribute to heroic martyrs at these memorial sites is one of the meaningful annual activities held by the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho Province. In the memorial book at A1 National Martyrs’ Cemetery, Mr. Tran Duy Dong wrote: “The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho Province offer incense in solemn tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Dien Bien Phu battlefield.”

He expressed everlasting gratitude for their contributions and respectfully wished for the martyrs to rest in peace, to bless and protect the country and its people, and to bring prosperity and happiness to the nation.
