Digital Transformation for graduation and admission examinations

The “National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, Orientation to 2030” has designated education as one of eight priority sectors. Applying digital transformation to graduation and entrance tests saves applicants and schools time and effort while improving training quality.

Previously, approximately 300 12th grade students from Trung Nghia High School in Thanh Thuy district who took the high school graduation exam and registered for university and college admission had to manually enter personal information, transcripts, and admission scores. The industry adopted paper admission forms, resulting in a loss of time and effort for both teachers and students. Students are now being converted from paper registration to the Ministry of Education and Training’s system. This makes registration faster and less time-consuming. In particular, applicants may amend and update information immediately on the system at any time and from any location.

Teachers at Cam Khe High School in the Cam Khe district teach grade 12 pupils how to register online for the high school graduation test using the Ministry of Education and Training’s system.

Students from Trung Nghia High School have proactively entered their exam information throughout the last two years. Teachers also do not have to work hard to examine and check each paper file; instead, they only need to offer broad directions to make the pupils ready, which will be filled in automatically. Mr. Hoang Thanh Hien, the Vice Principal of Trung Nghia High School, said: "Most families now own cellphones and laptops, making it easy to access information technology and guide pupils. Difficult children can also register using computers at school, with the help of instructors. Students can conveniently register online using the Ministry of Education and Training portal. After finishing the exam, students can sit in one location and change their admission preferences. All information saved on the system may be fully shown with a single search action. Each student has an own account, allowing applicants and their families to access information quickly."

9th grade pupils at Phuong Mao Secondary School in Thanh Thuy district are taught how to register online for the 10th grade high school entrance test.

The use of information technology not only provides several benefits in registering for high school graduation examinations as well as university and college entrance, but it has also simplified and improved the 10th grade admission process in schools. Cam Khe High School, Cam Khe district, has developed an information technology team consisting of a Board of Directors and instructors who are knowledgeable about information technology, leading and helping pupils in registering for examinations and doing searches. Mr. Ta Minh Duc, Principal of Cam Khe High School, stated: "In the 2023-2024 school year, digital transformation is one of the school’s important duties that yields practical results. The school makes extensive use of digital transformation during the grade 10 entrance process. Secondary school students, in particular, are issued accounts and can register online via the Vnedu system. After secondary schools conduct inspections and reviews of student information to assure its completeness and accuracy, the list will be forwarded to high schools via software. The high school’s application gathering and reception department operates entirely online. Following that, the data input workload is lowered as in prior years. At the same time, the institution functions in a similar manner regarding student admissions. As a result, students and parents may save time and money on travel while still satisfying their demands and circumstances. Student desire questionnaires for school-level contests are also completed entirely online. Changing the debate in the education system has significantly decreased the work of instructors and school personnel, resulting in several benefits for exam applicants and their families.
