Amid the steady flow of pilgrims to the Hung Kings Temple during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, the devoted support of police officers and Youth Union volunteers has left a lasting impression on visitors. In the solemn yet vibrant atmosphere of the celebration, these gestures of kindness lit a warm flame of humanity, helping to shape a festival season that was civilized, welcoming, and deeply humane.
On April 6 (the 9th day of the third lunar month), the number of visitors to the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site surged to a record high. According to the Organizing Committee, approximately 300,000 people participated in festival activities on the day.
The provincial police had implemented their deployment plan starting at 6:00 a.m., mobilizing their entire force. In addition, nearly 200 mobile police officers were dispatched to reinforce security efforts.
Despite the spike in visitor numbers, security and order were thoroughly maintained—there were no incidents of theft, pickpocketing, traffic congestion, jostling, or accidents reported within the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site.
To support festival-goers, the Provincial Police’s Traffic Department set up three water distribution points at the main gate of the Hung Kings Temple, the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, and the Lu Gia Crossroads. Over 400 cartons of bottled water and milk—totaling more than 12,000 bottles—were provided free of charge to the public.
Traffic police also actively engaged in educating and guiding visitors on the festival regulations issued by the Organizing Committee, ensuring respectful and smooth incense-offering procedures.
Officers assisted lost children and helped elderly or disoriented tourists return safely to designated gathering points.
Traffic officers were seen helping tourists cross busy roads, guiding crowds, and ensuring safety throughout the site.
In addition to the police, members of the Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union volunteered at the Hung Kings Temple, enthusiastically supporting visitors in various ways.
Youth Union members helped tourists capture memorable photos and guided them through the area, especially in inclement weather.
The sight of young volunteers in green shirts contributing with energy and enthusiasm added to the beauty of the festival—an inspiring reflection of the spirit of modern Vietnamese youth.
