Iron frame, motor, chain, LED lights, sound recording station, scrap fabric, paint,... using only simple ingredients, the teachers and students of Van Phu Primary School, Viet Tri city created Xoan singing model applied in traditional music lessons, creating a lively and attractive learning environment, contributing to preserving and spreading intangible cultural heritage in schools.

Xoan singing - a model of designing a “mini” stage narrating Xoan singing performances under the performance of puppet “artisans” by a group of students: Nguyen Thi Tu Duyen - 9 years old, Nguyen Thai Linh - 8 years old years old, Le Cam Tu - 10 years old invents from used materials; assembled by hand and operated by a system of motor switches and gears to create movement.

Because of love and pride in our original heritage, as well as the desire to create a meaningful and useful learning model; We came up with an idea and started implementing a learning model called “Xoan Singing” to practice during classes."

The “Xoan Singing” model will be implemented from around September 2022. Based on knowledge from Natural Sciences and Technology combined with useful information from books, newspapers, the internet, and historical documents cultural heritage, after more than two months of research and manufacturing, under the guidance of teachers at the school, the model has been completed and put to the test in Xoan singing classes, Xoan singing clubs and Experiential activities are concentrated in schools.

To make the model operate safely, effectively, and at low cost, the invention team took advantage of old household items (such as aluminum panels, iron frames, LED lights, song recording stations, paints, pens). painting, drum, curtain fabric, grass carpet...); In which, the iron frame is solidly cut and welded by teachers to create a performance stage; Round, flat steel bars are designed into the crankshaft to help fix the position and movement of the artisans' hands. After the rigid frame is completed, the model’s components will be installed with a motor system for positioning gears, chains, and chain increasing bars to create movement. Finally, decorate the stage space, outfit the artists, install a motorized electrical outlet and a song recording station to complete the model.

The Xoan singing model has achieved high results at the 2023 Youth and Children’s Creative Contest at all levels.

Thanks to its high applicability (especially suitable for the work of educating traditional cultural experience activities for students between the ages of 6 and 10 years old), simple structure, and low investment costs, the “singing” model “Xoan” by a group of student inventions at Van Phu Primary School surpassed 39 models and products in the same field of school supplies, excellently winning First prize at the city level, Second prize at the provincial level, and Consolation prize at the National level. Participate in the 2023 Youth, Youth, and Children Creative Contest.
