With just over a month until the Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse 2026), the atmosphere at Nha Nit Peach Blossom Village (Hy Cuong Commune) is more bustling than ever.
Growers in Nha Nit Peach Blossom Village meticulously tend to their trees in preparation for the Tet season.
Peach cultivation has long been the lifeblood of the local people, not only providing a stable income but also building a signature brand for this peri-urban area. During the 2025 Tet season, the village sold approximately 60% of its stock, generating a revenue of about 6 billion VND. This success has encouraged farmers to boldly invest and expand their scale for this year’s crop.
As one of the prominent growers with 10 years of experience, Mr. Ha Ngoc Dung (Zone 5) saw a triumphant 2025. “In 2025, my family sold 120 forest-sourced peach trees, earning about 500-600 million VND, with a profit of 350 million VND after costs,” Dung shared. "This year, I expect even better purchasing power because the trees are beautiful, prices are stable, and the public’s demand for flowers is rising." By early November of the lunar calendar, Mr. Dung had already moved 150 trees to display points to attract visitors.
Nha Nit Village currently has 128 members managing a cultivation area of 7.5 hectares. Approximately 40,000 trees of various types—meticulously cared for and artfully shaped—are expected to hit the market this year. Forecasts suggest that for the 2026 Traditional Tet, consumption could reach 85-90%, with total revenue estimated at nearly 10 billion VND.

Early-blooming peach trees are ready to serve the needs of agencies, enterprises, and offices.
To ensure the trees bloom precisely for Tet, growers began stripping leaves and potting the trees in early November (Lunar calendar). Many households have set up displays along Ton Duc Thang Street. Currently, about 7,000 trees are on display, showcasing their unique “postures and styles”, ready for visitors to browse and select.
In a few days, the village will simultaneously hang national flags and install product introduction signs at both ends of the main road to create a festive atmosphere and promote the village’s image. Mr. Le Van Ly, Head of Nha Nit Peach Blossom Village, noted: "Farmers are watering daily to maintain root moisture, combined with warming fertilization to stimulate bud development for vibrant colors."

Neatly arranged peach trees line the roads leading into the craft village.
This year, the village is supplying the market with three main product lines: early-blooming peach trees for offices and government agencies needing to display them before Tet (Lunar New Year); peach blossoms that bloom right on Tet to meet the public’s demand for flowers; and peach branches to cater to the market during the Tet Ong Cong, Ong Tao (Kitchen God) festival. This diversity of varieties allows peach growers more flexibility in sales and caters to various customer segments.
This year’s peach prices are generally stable compared to last year. According to peach growers, the price of a single peach tree ranges from 800,000 to 1,200,000 VND; grafted peach trees from ancient peach rootstock range from 1 to 15 million VND per tree, depending on shape and age; and peach branches range from 200,000 to 600,000 VND per branch. In addition, the village has proactively prepared sufficient transportation means such as handcarts, cranes, and pickup trucks, ready to serve customers' transportation needs and maximize convenience for buying and selling.
In Nha Nit peach blossom village, many households cultivate peach trees on a scale of several thousand trees, while even the smallest growers have 200-500 trees. Regardless of the scale, everyone focuses on caring for and pruning each branch and bud, imbuing them with hope for a prosperous and abundant Tet holiday.
