Phu Tho holds farewell ceremony for party officials changing positions or retiring

On June 25, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to bid farewell to officials who have been reassigned to new positions or are no longer members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Mr. Bui Minh Chau—Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Phu Tho—has been assigned by the Politburo and Secretariat to continue serving on the Party Central Committee and as Head of the Phu Tho National Assembly Delegation (after the provincial merger).

Meanwhile, Mr. Phung Khanh Tai—Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee—has been appointed by the Politburo and Secretariat as Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee, effective July 1.

Also recognized at the event were several officials who have concluded their terms as members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee (2020–2025) and are now retiring: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Le Van Phuong, Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Do Ngoc Tuan, Chief Justice of the Provincial People’s Court; Mr. Nguyen Tuong Thu, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Board; and Ms. Nguyen Thi To Uyen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Committee’s Agencies.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, praised Mr. Bui Minh Chau as a leader who has risen through the ranks from the grassroots level, with over 40 years of dedicated service. He highlighted Mr. Chau’s exemplary conduct as a Party member, his unwavering loyalty to the Party’s platform and the nation’s interests, and his consistent excellence in fulfilling assigned duties.

As Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Mr. Chau successfully united the collective wisdom of the leadership. He played a central role in guiding the provincial Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the People’s Committee to overcome numerous challenges, contributing to Phu Tho’s comprehensive development across all sectors. These accomplishments have laid a strong foundation for the province to confidently enter a new era of development, with an expanded administrative and socio-economic structure.

Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, appointed as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in March 2023, made important contributions during his tenure. Together with provincial leaders, he proposed numerous effective solutions to implement the Party’s guidelines and improve the quality of life for local people. Recognizing his abilities and achievements, the Secretariat appointed him as Deputy Secretary of the National Assembly Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term—a position of honor not only for Mr. Tai and his family but also for the Party Committee and people of Phu Tho.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Bui Van Quang expressed sincere gratitude for the significant contributions made by Mr. Bui Minh Chau, Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, and the five outgoing committee members. He expressed hope that Mr. Chau and Mr. Tai would continue to apply their experience, intellect, and leadership in their new roles and remain committed to supporting Phu Tho’s development. He also encouraged the retiring members to maintain their party spirit and continue sharing their valuable insights to help the province grow in a sustainable and comprehensive manner.

At the meeting, Mr. Bui Minh Chau delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing appreciation to former provincial leaders for their guidance and support throughout his career. He thanked the Standing Committee, Executive Committee, and local departments, agencies, and communities for their cooperation, which enabled him to fulfill his responsibilities effectively.

Confident in the province’s momentum and leadership continuity, Mr. Chau encouraged the Party Executive Committee to uphold unity and strong leadership to advance Phu Tho’s development. He also pledged to continue contributing his knowledge and experience to serve the nation and his homeland.
