Phu Tho plants 52 million trees within three years
According to information from the Department of Forestry - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the results after three years of implementing the Project of planting 1 billion trees (2021-2023), the whole country has planted 769,867,000 trees, reaching 121,000 trees. 4% of the plan, including: 344,510,000 scattered trees and 435,357,000 new concentrated trees planted. Among them, Phu Tho ranks second nationwide with 52 million trees.
Leaders of Phu Tho province and T&T Group responded to plant trees at Van Lang Empire golf course.
The leading locality is Lao Cai with 61.64 million trees; Third is Long An with 45.32 million trees; followed by Gia Lai (37.28 million trees); Nghe An (34.38 million trees); Many localities planted over 20 million trees such as Lai Chau, Lam Dong, Kon Tum, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Yen Bai, Son La and Ca Mau. Provinces planting over 15 million trees include: Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Phu Yen.
The total capital mobilized to implement the Project of planting 1 billion trees in three years (2021-2023) is nearly 9.5 trillion VND, of which State budget capital accounts for 23.8%, the remaining ODA capital. , socialization and other capital sources account for 76.2%.
In the 2024-2025 period, ministries, branches and localities have proactively developed plans with a total of 492,278,000 trees, of which 275,596,000 trees and 98,210 hectares of planted forests (equivalent to 216,682,000 trees).
