Phu Tho sends 6 delegates to the 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings

The 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings will be held from May 16 to 18 in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will gather 444 exemplary young delegates recognized for their outstanding achievements in studying and practicing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style—contributing to the cultivation of a new generation of Vietnamese youth with “Pure Hearts—Bright Minds—Great Ambitions.”

Phu Tho province will be represented by 6 distinguished delegates: Nguyen Thi Kim Hoan, teacher at Trung Giap High School (Phu Ninh district); Dinh Thu Thao, medical staff at Tan Son district Medical Center; Phan Thi Dieu Thu, student at Hung Hoa High School (Tam Nong district); Hoang Trung Thang, Director of Thanh Lam Agricultural and Food Cooperative (Cam Khe district); Vu Truong Giang, Deputy Head of the Solutions Department, Phu Tho Information Technology and Telecommunications Center; and Nguyen Thu Huong, student of Class K19, University of Primary Education B, Faculty of Primary and Preschool Education, Hung Vuong University.

The National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings is held every five years by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The congress aims to discover and honor exemplary individuals nationwide who have excelled in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. It also seeks to inspire a widespread positive influence among Vietnamese children and youth. The first congress took place in 2009, and to date, seven editions have honored a total of 2,602 outstanding young individuals.

During the three-day event, delegates will engage in a range of meaningful and dynamic activities, including a ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho and receive the “Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” badge at President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park. Visits to significant historical, cultural, economic, and social landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City, such as Thu Thiem Creative Park, the new Mien Dong Bus Station, the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line, the Independence Palace, the memorial area for the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring Mau Than 1968, and the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space at the City Children’s House, and humanitarian visits to victims of Agent Orange at the Hoa Binh Children’s Village and Tu Du Hospital.
