Preparations for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers
On the afternoon of August 20, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho Province, in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held a meeting to implement organizational tasks for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

According to the plan, Group C of the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers will take place at Viet Tri Stadium from September 3 to 9, featuring four U23 national teams: Yemen, Singapore, Bangladesh, and host nation Vietnam.

The group winners and the four best second-placed teams will join hosts Saudi Arabia at the Final Tournament in 2026.
At the meeting, delegates approved detailed task assignments for each member and agreed on organizational plans to stage all matches at Viet Tri Stadium. Preparations include ensuring security, traffic safety, healthcare, electricity, and other requirements as set by the AFC.
Delegates also agreed on ticket distribution, which will be conducted both online and directly at Viet Tri Stadium, as well as through official documents.
The Organizing Committee has assigned specific responsibilities to each member to ensure that all matches held at Viet Tri Stadium meet AFC standards in terms of competition, training venues, and accommodation.
