On the afternoon of March 7, the People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province held a press conference regarding the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary and the Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025, aiming to introduce and promote Phu Tho’s tourism.

The Hung Kings' Death Anniversary and the Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025 will take place from March 29 to April 7 (corresponding to the 1st to the 10th of the third lunar month) at the Hung Temple Historical Site, Hung Vuong Square, and Viet Tri City. The ceremony is expected to include the Commemoration Day for the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan, the Incense Offering Ceremony honoring the Ancestral Mother Au Co, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony, and a Flower Offering at the relief sculpture "Uncle Ho Talking with the Vanguard Army." Additionally, incense offering ceremonies will be held across districts, cities, and towns to honor the Hung Kings. Along with that are many unique cultural and sports activities; the focus is the Opening Program of the Cultural Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025, with the theme “Echoes of the Origin,” the art program “Returning to the Festival City,” and a high-altitude fireworks display...

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huy Ngoc emphasized that Phu Tho Province has directed efforts to ensure the Hung Kings' Death Anniversary and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land are organized thoughtfully and safely. The goal is to foster broad participation and ensure a satisfying experience for compatriots and tourists from across the country visiting the Ancestral Land. He affirmed that Phu Tho Province always receives feedback from press agencies and has directed the province’s functional agencies to prepare plans to promptly handle arising issues and create the most favorable conditions, providing official information for press agencies to work and report.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee hopes that press agencies will continue to accompany and closely coordinate with the province, promptly informing members of the Organizing Committee about issues arising during the organization of activities. At the same time, he requested tourism and travel businesses to proactively coordinate closely with press and media agencies to provide complete and attractive information, helping tourists choose suitable products on their journey to the Land of Ancestors. This will contribute to raising the level of Phu Tho tourism on the national tourism map.
In the context of implementing the policy of streamlining the central apparatus, this year’s Hung Kings' Death Anniversary and Culture-Tourism Week will have some changes compared to the plan issued by the province. The press release will be provided by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to the press and propaganda agencies of the central and local levels immediately after the program is officially issued.

At the press conference, reporters from the press agencies asked many questions about preparations for the Hung Kings“Death Anniversary-Hung Kings” Temple Festival 2025. Many reporters raised questions about the quality of accommodation services and tourism stimulus packages, as well as the organization of events during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2025. Particular concerns included security and order, the regulation of street vendors and solicitation at the Hung Temple Historical Site, improvements to tourism infrastructure, the application of digital technology in promotion, and measures to prevent misinformation and superstition.
A Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism representative said that they have coordinated with inspection units, improved service quality, and deployed many tours to experience the culture of the Ancestral Land. They affirmed that they will strengthen inspection, strictly handle violations, ensure a civilized tourism environment, upgrade infrastructure, and organize various promotional activities on digital platforms. They have also coordinated with film crews, music production, etc., to attract tourists.
