The Chairman visited several locations, including the wards of Viet Tri, Nong Trang, Thanh Mieu, Van Phu, and Hy Cuong commune. He specifically focused on central hubs expected to attract large crowds during the Tet holiday, such as Hung Vuong Square, Van Lang Park, and the Hung Temple Historic Site.

These activities are part of the “Viet Tri Urban Repair and Beautification Project,” managed by the Phu Tho Land Fund Development Center. With a total investment of over 15.4 billion VND from the provincial budget and other legal sources, the project aims to enhance the landscape, ensure environmental sanitation, and create urban highlights for major provincial festivals and events.

Following the field inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Duy Dong highly commended the implementation efforts of the project owner and contractors. To date, several key components are being accelerated. Notably, five decorative steel-structured arches on Nguyen Tat Thành Street are nearing completion, integrated with modern LED lighting effects to ensure aesthetics, safety, and harmony with the urban space.

The repair and maintenance of lighting systems on major routes such as Hung Vuong, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Truong Chinh, and Quang Trung are being implemented synchronously, including the replacement of hundreds of LED bulbs, control cabinets, and traffic signal equipment at 24 critical intersections.

Additionally, the “2026 icons,” floral displays, greenery, and landscape decorations at Van Lang Park, Hung Vuong Square, the provincial administrative headquarters, and the entrance to the Hung Kings’ Temple are progressing according to design, creating a fresh appearance ahead of the Lunar New Year.

The Provincial Chairman also provided specific guidance for several areas and beautification items. He requested specialized agencies to research and formulate a systematic and synchronized urban beautification plan for the province’s major holidays, particularly the upcoming Hung Kings’ Anniversary - Hung Kings’ Temple Festival. Emphasis should be placed on creating landscape highlights through floral routes and appropriate miniatures, as well as adding public amenities such as stone benches and rest areas to better serve the recreational needs of residents and tourists.

Regarding the Van Lang Park area, the Chairman requested the arrangement of decorative frames and themed floral clusters to ensure harmony and visual highlights. At Hung Vuong Square, an open and spacious environment should be created with specialized floral designs. The Hung Kings’ Temple area must undergo synchronized landscape beautification and environmental sanitation to effectively support the series of festival activities throughout 2026. The overall goal is to transform the urban center into a modern, civilized area, worthy of its role as the nation’s festival hub.
