On the morning of August 18, at Hoa Binh Square, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sports Federation opened the 30th National Youth Mountain Bike Championship 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Tran Anh Tuan – Vice President of the Vietnam Cycling - Motor Sports Federation, and Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga – Vice Chairwoman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee.
This is the 30th time the championship has been held. This year’s championship gathers nearly 500 participants, including 320 young cyclists from 15 provinces, cities, and sectors across the country such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Tho, An Giang, Dong Thap, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Lao Cai, and the Army team...
After the opening ceremony, the first road cycling championship officially got underway. On the morning of August 18, in Hoa Binh Ward, female cyclists aged 17–18 competed in the 18km points race, while the female cyclists under 23 years contested the 21km points race and the male under 23 years contested the 27km points race.

In the afternoon, competition continued with the 15km points race for female cyclists aged 16 and under, the 21km points race for male cyclists aged 16 and under, and the 24km points race for male riders aged 17–18.
At the end of the competition day, the Organizing Committee awarded medals to winners.
According to the schedule, the championship will take place from August 18 to 28, 2025. Road cycling will take place from August 18 to 24, followed by mountain bike competitions from August 25 to 28.
