Vinh Phuc provincial leadership delegation pays a working visit to Phu Tho province.

On February 9, a delegation from Vinh Phuc province, led by Mr. Dang Xuan Phong-Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Phuc-visited and held working discussions with Phu Tho province.

Welcoming the delegation were key provincial leaders, including Mr. Bui Minh Chau-Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Bui Van Quang-Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; and Phung Khanh Tai-Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau warmly welcomed Secretary Dang Xuan Phong and the Vinh Phuc delegation to Phu Tho.

Expressing his delight at visiting and working with Phu Tho province in the early days of the Lunar New Year 2025, Secretary Dang Xuan Phong reaffirmed the deep historical ties between Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho, which were once part of the former Vinh Phu province. Since their separation, the two provinces have maintained a strong relationship, regularly supporting each other in mutual development. He praised Phu Tho’s remarkable progress across various sectors, highlighting improvements in socio-economic development, national defense and security, and living standards. He also commended the province’s modern and well-connected transportation infrastructure, which has facilitated investment attraction and urban development. He wished the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho continued unity and success in 2025 and beyond.

Provincial Party Secretary Bui Minh Chau expressed his pleasure in hosting the Vinh Phuc delegation and provided an overview of Phu Tho’s socio-economic achievements in 2024. He reported that all 17 key socio-economic targets were met and exceeded. The province’s economic growth rate reached 9.53%-the highest in the past 15 years-placing it among the top in the country and the Northern Midlands and Mountains region. Phu Tho’s economic scale reached 109.2 trillion VND, ranking third among the 14 provinces in the region. The province also made significant advancements in culture, social welfare, and quality of life while maintaining political stability and public safety. Additionally, efforts to strengthen party-building and innovate governance continued to receive high priority.

Secretary Bui Minh Chau emphasized that as the ancestral land of the nation, Phu Tho is committed to economic development while preserving its rich cultural heritage. This principle is a consistent focus in the province’s socio-economic development strategies. He expressed hope that this visit would further strengthen the longstanding bond between the two provinces, fostering the exchange of leadership, governance, and management experiences. By sharing insights and best practices, both provinces can work together to achieve their socio-economic, national defense, and party-building goals, contributing to regional and national development. He also wished Vinh Phuc continued success in the new year.

Before the working session, the Vinh Phuc delegation visited and paid tribute at historical sites, including the Mother Au Co Temple in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, and the Hung King Temple. The delegation also planted commemorative trees at these sacred sites.
