Volunteers Stay Up All Night to Clean the Environment
From March 29th to April 7th (1st to 10th of the 3rd lunar month), the Provincial Youth Union mobilized 4,000 volunteer youths to carry out tasks in coordination with the police force to maintain security, order, and traffic safety; help prevent congestion at the Hung Kings Historical Site; assist tourists; and clean the environment at the Hung Kings Historical Site during the festival.
In particular, on the 9th day of the 3rd lunar month, as part of the “Green Hung Kings Temple” program, 200 volunteers from clubs and universities in Hanoi, under the Phu Tho Student Association in Hanoi, carried out environmental cleanup, picking up trash around the main entrance area and setting up a soft barrier to guide visitors. Starting from around 11 PM, the youth volunteers focused on cleaning the entire ceremony area and the roads leading up to the temples, ensuring a clean and beautiful environment in preparation for the solemn Hung Kings’ Commemoration Ceremony.
On the 10th of the 3rd lunar month, about 1,000 youth volunteers participated in the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Ceremony, with 100 volunteers forming the Lạc Hồng descendants team, and 30 children offering flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the bas-relief “President Ho Chi Minh Talks to the Pioneer Division”. The volunteer teams continued to implement tasks as planned, working with the police to ensure security, traffic safety, helping tourists, and cleaning the environment.
