Watching the “Hunter” supermoon tonight from Van Lang Park
A supermoon occurs when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth in its orbit, called perigee. This makes the moon appear larger and brighter than a normal full moon.
According to NASA, a supermoon can be about 7% larger and 15% brighter than an average full moon.
In Phu Tho, from Van Lang Park in Viet Tri City, you can easily observe the supermoon from around 6:28 p.m. The best time to observe is when the Moon rises, because at that time, it is close to the horizon, and foreground objects such as trees and buildings will help us feel more clearly about the large size of the Moon.
