As the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 draws near, the flower-growing regions—including the Nha Nit Peach Village (Hy Cuong Commune), Phuong Vien Ornamental Plant Village (Dao Xa Commune), and Lang Thuong Flower Village (Binh Phu Commune)—have become more bustling than ever.
Gardeners are working tirelessly, pruning and tending to pots of chrysanthemums, roses, orchids, lilies, and peach blossoms (Prunus persica) in preparation for the Tet market.
Along the entrances to these villages, stylized peach trees are already potted or bundled, ready for market. A constant stream of trucks, large and small, moves in and out of the villages to deliver flowers to consumers. The vibrant colors of various blooms signal a bountiful and joyful spring season.

Brilliant peach blossoms herald the arrival of the new Spring.

At Nha Nit Peach Village (Hy Cuong Commune), pots of peach blossoms are displayed along the roadsides, making it easy for customers to make their selections.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tien’s family has prepared 300 peach trees for this year’s Tet market.

Once selected, these trees are loaded onto trucks for direct delivery to customers.

In Tien Du Flower Village (Binh Phu Commune), Ms. Le Thi Nam’s family is cultivating 1.800m2 of chrysanthemums, timed perfectly for the harvest.

To ensure the flowers bloom on schedule during cold spells, growers install electric lights to provide extra warmth for the plants.

Colorful chrysanthemums ready to welcome the New Year.

In Phuong Vien Village (Dao Xa Commune), nearly 60 households are involved in growing flowers and ornamental plants across an area of approximately 6 hectares.

Beyond traditional craft villages, some individual farmers, such as Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh in Thanh Mieu Ward, have pivoted toward growing Moth Orchids (Phalaenopsis), which yield high economic value.

Thanks to proper technical care, his orchid garden has begun to bloom and is ready for the Lunar New Year market.

The brilliant hues of these flowers are all set to welcome the coming Spring.
