Alongside him, Coach Ngo Thi Huyen Thanh and athletes Tran Anh Quan and Bui Manh Cuong—members of Phu Tho’s shuttlecock team—were also honored for securing two gold medals at the 11th Shuttlecock World Championship held in Tianjin, China, in 2024.

The trio’s outstanding performance brought pride to Phu Tho and earned them the First-Class Labor Medal, recognizing their remarkable contribution to Vietnam’s achievements on the world shuttlecock stage.

The First-Class Labor Medal is a prestigious honor conferred by the President to acknowledge the significant contributions of coaches and athletes to Vietnamese sports, both regionally and globally. This recognition serves as a powerful motivation for Vietnamese sportspeople to continue training and striving for excellence, aiming to bring more victories to their homeland in upcoming international competitions.
