Opening Ceremony of the 1st Xuan Hoa Ward Sports Festival 2026

On the morning of May 10, Xuan Hoa Ward held the opening ceremony for its 1st Sports Festival 2026. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Viet Phuong—Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ward People’s Council; Ms. Cao Thi Thu Ha—Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, alongside local leaders and numerous residents.

The ceremony commenced with a grand parade involving nearly 600 participants, including officers, soldiers, civil servants, and outstanding athletes representing political-social organizations, agencies, units, and residential areas across the ward.

The 1st Xuan Hoa Ward Sports Festival features competitions in various disciplines: football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, Chinese chess, tug-of-war, and pickleball... with athletes participating from local agencies, schools, and 37 residential groups. This festival serves not only as a display of strength and an evaluation of the grassroots sports movement but also as an opportunity to strengthen community exchange and solidarity.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was an impressive artistic performance titled “Xuan Hoa Rising in a New Era,” consisting of two chapters: “The Heroic Spirit of the Mountains and Rivers” and "Xuan Hoa Rising in a New Era." The elaborate program was meticulously choreographed with the participation of personnel from the 113th Commando Brigade and students from Hanoi Pedagogical University 2.
