On June 9–10, the finals and awards ceremony for outstanding athletes were held at Lam Son Stadium in Ba Ria–Vung Tau province, marking the conclusion of the 2025 National Youth Archery Championship. With nine athletes participating, the Phu Tho archery team wrapped up the tournament with an impressive haul of 11 medals.
This year’s championship, held from June 1 to 11, attracted more than 200 young archers from provinces, cities, and sectors across the country. Competitions took place in both recurve (single-string) and compound (triple-string) bow categories, across multiple distances and age groups.
Phu Tho’s athletes delivered a strong performance, earning one gold medal, one silver medal, and nine bronze medals. The team’s standout achievement was a gold medal won by Tran Dat Bach in the men’s U21 individual 50-meter single-string event. In the men’s U21 single-string team event, the trio of Ha Anh Duc, Nguyen Dang Truong, and Tran Dat Bach secured a silver medal.
The nine bronze medals were achieved across various categories, including the individual single-string events for men’s U18 and U21; the men’s U21 50-meter single-string event; the men’s U18 400-meter single-string event; the U21 mixed pair single-string events for both men and women; the U21 mixed team single-string event; the women’s U21 double compound event; and the women’s U21 team compound event.
The National Youth Archery Championship is an annual event organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. It serves as a platform for young athletes to develop their professional skills, gain competition experience, and foster a spirit of sportsmanship.
This year’s results are a testament to the dedication and steady progress of Phu Tho’s young archers. Their success at the tournament serves as a source of motivation as they continue to train hard and prepare for future national and international competitions.
