For a mountainous district with many difficulties like Tan Son, policies to support agricultural and rural development are extremely important and necessary, truly a “leverage” for agriculture to develop in an advanced direction. productivity, quality, efficiency, increased competitiveness and sustainable development. Therefore, Tan Son always determines the goal of spreading the policy to all addresses, so that projects of organizations and individuals can access and benefit from the policy in the fastest and timely manner.

Policies to support the development of grapefruit trees have created motivation for Tan Son people to expand their area.

In recent times, the district has increased propaganda work, publicly and transparently disseminating policy contents to raise people’s awareness, change their thinking about production methods, and boldly change the model from Small-scale export to large-scale, applying high technology. At the same time, encourage organizations, businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farm owners, and households to promote cooperative development models and links in the production and consumption of agricultural products along the price chain. treatment... to be eligible to access support policies.

In addition, based on the provisions of the policy, the subjects of application and the support principles set out in the Resolution, the District People’s Committee develops specific plans for each policy content and directs agencies to District-level specialized agencies coordinate management, monitoring, and regularly review support needs at the grassroots level; Organize appraisal of programs and projects, ensuring policies are implemented effectively and in accordance with regulations.

The district’s support subjects focus on organizations and individuals participating in investment, production, processing, and consumption of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in the area. At the same time, strictly comply with the conditions of food hygiene and safety, environmental protection and in accordance with the planning and socio-economic development plan of the local commodity production area. During the implementation process, periodically evaluate the progress of implementing policies to promptly propose solutions to handle existing problems and problems arising at the grassroots level.

After reviewing and comparing with the regulations in Resolution 22 on scale and subjects, in 2023 Tan Son has a number of projects eligible to receive support with a total funding need of 5. 9 billion VND. Accordingly, the district has been approved for two projects to develop linked production along the value chain, associated with product consumption of AP1 green thorn dried bark on a scale of 20 hectares, jointly chaired by Bao Quang Minh State Joint Stock Company. The parties participating in the association are Phu Son Agriculture and Services Cooperative and five households and the Project of linking livestock raising and consumption of breeding cows and beef cattle with a scale of 300 cows/year by Vinh Agriculture and Forestry Cooperative. Tan presides over the link. The proposed budget to support the two projects is about 2.3 billion VND.

For tea, the production support policy associated with building the Phu Tho tea brand is actively implemented by the district. According to the plan, in 2023 the district will implement a project to improve the quality and brand of tea in Xuan Son National Park area chaired by Xuan Dai Agriculture and Forestry Service Cooperative. To date, the project has renovated 14.8 hectares of tea, of which 1.5 hectares are newly planted; Completed installation of machinery and equipment systems and went into production. Funding for support implementation is over 340 million VND. Currently, the cooperative has a Xuan Son Morning Dew tea product that has achieved a three-star OCOP product.

Implementing the policy of supporting the transformation of large timber forests, in 2023 the district will support the second transformation for 120 hectares that have already carried out the first transformation, and are currently guiding households to implement technical measures for the second time. Besides, the district continues to carry out the first conversion for 54.2 hectares. Funding to support the conversion of large timber forests is 979 million VND. Regarding support for sustainable forest certification, the district has two businesses registered to issue sustainable forest certification, has organized reviews, drawn maps, trained households, and completed a forest management plan. lasting. For cinnamon trees, the district planted 120 hectares of cinnamon trees with a support budget of more than 1.44 billion VND.

In 2023, the district will also actively deploy policies to support the evaluation and grading of five OCOP products: Tea, salted chicken, corn wine, Thang Giap wine, and Thai tangerines. The evaluation has now been completed, all five products have received three stars. Funding for support implementation is 100 million VND.

It can be seen that the implementation of policies to support and encourage agricultural and rural development in the spirit of Resolution 22 of the Provincial People’s Council has created motivation for Tan Son people to actively work in production and promote the process of production. sustainable agricultural and rural economic development in the area.
