Thanh Thuy develops “smokeless industry”

With 36 ranked historical and cultural relics with many unique and ancient features, of which 5 are ranked at the National level, Thanh Thuy district has become an attractive destination for spiritual tourism. In addition, Thanh Thuy also has a rare natural hot mineral source that is an ideal vacation destination for tourists. In recent years, the district has focused on exploiting the potential and advantages of the district next to Tan Mountain and Da River, not far from Hanoi Capital to focus on developing the “smokeless industry”.

Resolution No. 08-NQ/HU, dated April 16, 2021 of the District Party Executive Committee on tourism development in the 2021 - 2026 period, with an orientation to 2030, has determined the need to focus on effectively exploiting all types of tourism such as: resort tourism, entertainment; cultural and spiritual tourism; eco- and scenic spot tourism; Traditional craft village tourism. Accordingly, the district has made good of preserving and promoting the unique values ​​and features of a number of festivals, traditional rituals, legends of the Hung Kings’ period, culture and cuisine... associated with relics and typical cultural spots, exploiting and building unique cultural tourism products, forming cultural tourism destinations to serve visitors. At the same time, the district focuses on exploiting spiritual tourism products well. Currently, Lang Suong Temple is a destination attracting many tourist groups.

In recent years, the district has always encouraged and supported businesses to invest in building high-end resort and health care tourism products on the basis of exploiting rare hot mineral water resources combined with creating ecological landscapes. High quality tourism products, associated with building the district’s tourism brand, have received attention and investment from many businesses. Currently, in the district there are many units operating effectively in resort tourism, entertainment, and ecotourism services: Green Pearl Island Tourist Area, Vuon Vua Resort & Villas, Bamboo Resort, Tre Nguon Resort, Thanh Lam Resort, Thanh Thuy Resort, Song Da Ecological Garden House, Wyndham Thanh Thuy Resort.

In 2023, Thanh Thuy welcomed about 680,000 tourists to visit and relax, of which the number of staying guests was about 250,000 people, revenue from tourism and services reached about 520 billion VND. In the district, there were 46 accommodation establishments with nearly 3,500 rooms, 17,300 employees in the service industry, the labor structure in the service sector accounted for 35%. It is estimated that in the first 6 months of 2024, Thanh Thuy will welcome about 540,000 tourists to visit and relax, bringing in a total revenue of about 390 billion VND.

In the coming time, Thanh Thuy district will continue to synchronously implement tourism development solutions, focusing on gathering resources, creating favorable conditions and environment, and attracting investors to implement large projects and key tourism projects in the area. The district pays attention to directing investment in facilities and building technical infrastructure in a synchronous manner to promote tourism and service development, while promoting propaganda and promotion of potentials and strengths, cooperating and promoting linkages to develop the tourism market, stimulating demand to promote development and diversify tourism types and typical tourism products of Thanh Thuy. Focus on training and fostering human resources in tourism... in order to gradually turn Thanh Thuy tourism into a key economic sector with sustainable development.
