Archbishop Marek Zalewski visits Phu Tho province

On February 16, Mr. Ho Dai Dung - Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee had a courtesy reception with Archbishop Marek Zalewski - Permanent Representative of the Vatican in Vietnam and the working group.

At the reception, Archbishop Marek Zalewski expressed his joy and thanked the leaders of Phu Tho province in particular and the Government of Vietnam in general for creating favorable conditions for the Archbishop’s first official visit to Hung Hoa Diocese in Phu Tho province. The Archbishop emphasized that in the past 10 years, the relationship between Vietnam and the Vatican has seen increasingly positive progress. In his position, he will personally do his best to promote good relations between the parties, contribute to helping the Vietnamese Catholic community live a “good life, good religion”, and actively contribute to the general development of the country.

On behalf of the leaders of Phu Tho province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung welcomed and thanked the good feelings that Archbishop Marek Zalewski and the members of the delegation gave to Phu Tho province during their visit at the beginning of the New Year. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee hopes that Archbishop Marek Zalewski and other dignitaries will continue to pay attention, create conditions and give more support for the Vietnamese Catholic community in general and the province in particular; Propagate and mobilize Catholics to properly implement the Party’s directions, policies and laws of the State. On the occasion of the New Year, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Dai Dung presented flowers and wished Archbishop Marek Zalewski and the delegation good health, happiness and success.
