On June 17, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association of Phu Tho Province and the Provincial Press Awards Council organized the 14th Phu Tho Provincial Press Awards, Press Awards for Party Building Work in 2024 and a meeting to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024).
2024 is the 14th year of implementing the project “Phu Tho Provincial Press Awards” and the first year organizing the thematic press award on Party building work in 2024. The Provincial Press Award Council has worked seriously and responsibly in order to select excellent works to award prizes. These works reflect achievements in economic, cultural and social development, Party building, ensuring national defense and security, the province’s political system and issues of public concern.
Press awards are meaningful activities not only for journalists and press agencies but also for the entire social community. Thereby, promptly encourage and strengthen the creative labor emulation movement of professional and non-professional journalists to participate in creative activities and promote journalistic works, contributing to creating high-quality journalism products to participate in the National Press Awards and the National Press Awards for Party building work (Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards) as well as press awards organized by ministries and central branches.
At the ceremony, 56 works were awarded Provincial Press Awards, including 8 A prizes, 16 B prizes, 16 C prizes, 16 Consolation prizes; 11 works were awarded the Press Awards for Party building work, including 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, and 5 Consolation prizes.
* On the same day, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association of Phu Tho province organized the 2024 Dat To Newspaper Conference with the theme: “Phu Tho province’s press is united, professional, creative”, introducing 10 booths displaying press and cultural publications of the units.
On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists’ Association awarded special publications to the Provincial Library and Hung Vuong residential area (Tho Son ward, Viet Tri city).
