On March 13, Mr. Bui Van Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, conducted an inspection of the progress of several key transportation projects in Viet Tri City and the districts of Phu Ninh, Tam Nong, and Cam Khe.
Chairman Bui Van Quang inspected the construction progress of the project to renovate, reinforce, and upgrade Au Co Road, which connects Viet Tri City to Phu Ninh and Doan Hung districts.
During the on-site inspection, the Chairman acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive efforts of provincial departments, local authorities, agencies, and units in accelerating the project’s progress. Notably, Viet Tri City not only successfully carried out land clearance and site handover for the Au Co Road project but also took the initiative to expedite and complete the extension of Truong Chinh Road, which connects to Au Co Road. This development enhances transportation connectivity and expands the city’s development space.
Regarding the transportation project connecting Provincial Road 323 to National Highway 2 in Phu Ninh District, the road spans a total length of 6.3 km, starting at km19+280 of Provincial Road 323 in Tien Du Commune and ending at km79+390 of National Highway 2 in Phu Loc Commune. The route passes through Tien Du, Phu Nham, Gia Thanh, and Phu Loc communes. As of now, the site clearance has been completed, and 5.19 km out of the 5.3 km road has been constructed. In addition to swiftly approving compensation plans for the remaining 24 affected households, Phu Ninh District is urged to intensify communication efforts to persuade the three remaining households to accept compensation. Simultaneously, the district must accelerate the planning, task assignment, and budget estimation for the resettlement area designated for households that need to relocate for the project’s implementation.
Chairman Bui Van Quang, along with Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Trong Tan, also inspected and provided guidance on resolving challenges and expediting the construction progress of the branch road connecting the inter-regional transportation route. This route links the Ho Chi Minh Highway with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C in Phu Tho Province, and extends to Yen Bai Province, reaching the Cam Khe Industrial Zone.
Next, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and the delegation inspected the construction progress of the inter-regional transportation project connecting the Ho Chi Minh Highway with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C in Phu Tho Province, and extending to Yen Bai.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that during the 2020–2025 period, Phu Tho Province has identified 20 key projects. As of now, 17 of these projects have been essentially completed and put into operation. The remaining three projects include Au Co Road, the transportation route connecting Provincial Road 323 to National Highway 2 in Phu Ninh District, and the inter-regional transportation project connecting the Ho Chi Minh Highway with National Highway 70B and National Highway 32C in Phu Tho Province to Yen Bai. These are all critical projects that, once completed, will expand development opportunities for the localities along their routes and play a significant role in driving growth both at the district level and across the entire province. Therefore, it is essential to focus on effective site clearance, mobilize maximum machinery and human resources, and make up for delays in construction progress. The Chairman urged local authorities, project investors, the project management board, and relevant departments to closely coordinate and uphold the spirit of “overcoming the heat, conquering the rain,” “working three shifts, four teams,” and “making use of every available hour, even working at night” to accelerate the construction timeline. He firmly stated that all three projects must be completed, handed over, and put into operation within 2025.
