On July 8, Mr. Tran Duy Dong- Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, hosted a working session with the delegation of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (PVN), led by Mr. Do Chi Thanh, Deputy General Director of the Group.
Chairman Tran Duy Dong presents a symbolic Hung King emblem to PVN leaders.
PVN symbolically presents VND 10 billion to support Phu Tho’s health and education sectors.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Tran Duy Dong provided an overview of Phu Tho province following the recent administrative merger. He emphasized the province’s development potential, strategic advantages, and future investment orientations. According to the Chairman, the merger represents a historic opportunity to comprehensively restructure the provincial growth model—creating momentum for breakthroughs in spatial development, economic drivers, and opportunities. The goal is to transform Phu Tho into a center of industry, services, logistics, and tourism for both the northern midland and mountainous region and the country as a whole.
At the program, PVN presented a symbolic plaque of VND 10 billion to support the province’s education and healthcare sectors- a meaningful contribution that reflects PVN’s long-standing commitment to social welfare initiatives across the country, including in Phu Tho province.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, Chairman Tran Duy Dong expressed sincere appreciation and deep gratitude to PVN’s Board of Directors and all its staff. He noted that Phu Tho consistently prioritizes education and public health, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas. However, limited budget resources mean that many schools remain in disrepair- lacking facilities and essential teaching equipment. At the same time, the grassroots healthcare system continues to face shortages in hospital beds and medical equipment, affecting the quality of healthcare services for local residents.
Therefore, the timely support from PVN - including renovations, school repairs, and medical equipment purchases - is not only materially valuable but also a great source of encouragement for the provincial government and people in their efforts to build and develop their homeland.
Provincial leaders, department heads, and PVN representatives attend the working session.
Phu Tho province has committed to using the funds for their intended purpose - in a public, transparent, and efficient manner - to improve the quality of education and healthcare services. Relevant departments, sectors, and localities have been instructed to promptly carry out investment procedures and implement related projects and procurement activities seriously and in accordance with regulations, ensuring that this valuable support generates long-term, sustainable impacts.
