Delegation from Hekou district visits Phu Tho province

On March 17, a delegation from Hekou District, Yunnan Province, China, led by Comrade Vu Duong, Secretary of the District Party Committee, visited Phu Tho Province for a working trip.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Son, a Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, presented a photograph of “Long Coc Tea Hill” to the leaders of Hekou District as a gift.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Son introduced the delegation to the province’s socio-economic strengths and development potential, affirming that Phu Tho is committed to creating favorable conditions and offering preferential policies to enterprises investing in the province. Currently, Phu Tho hosts 210 FDI projects, nearly 50 of which are from Chinese investors, with a total registered capital of $1.248 billion USD, accounting for 36.6% of the province’s total FDI capital. Key sectors include fiber, textiles, garments, shoes, plastics, electronic components, and wood production and processing. Vice Chairman Son expressed hope that Hekou District would focus on investing in projects that apply advanced, high, and clean technologies. He also encouraged Hekou District enterprises to invest in Phu Tho, particularly in the field of agricultural product processing for export, and emphasized the importance of facilitating access for Phu Tho’s export-oriented businesses to the Hekou market and, by extension, to China. He also proposed strengthening diplomatic relations and organizing cultural and tourism exchange activities, alongside collaboration in education and training.

The delegation from Hekou District also visited Sunrise Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Cam Khe Industrial Park.

In response to the warm welcome from Phu Tho’s leadership, Comrade Vu Duong, Secretary of the Hekou District Party Committee, shared insights into the socio-economic situation, potential, and strengths of his district. During the visit, the leaders of Hekou expressed their desire for the two regions to deepen and expand their economic and trade cooperation, strengthen market links, and develop supply chains in various sectors. They also emphasized the importance of building connections to attract investment, promoting industries based on each locality’s strengths. Notably, the Hekou District Party Committee hopes to foster regular exchanges and coordination in the fields of education, healthcare, culture, and tourism. On this occasion, Comrade Vu Duong extended an invitation to the leaders of Phu Tho to visit Hekou and explore investment cooperation opportunities across different sectors.

The delegation also visited Viet Tri Port in Viet Tri City.

Earlier in the trip, the delegation toured several key locations, including Sunrise Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Cam Khe Industrial Park, Hybest Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Phu Gia Industrial Cluster, and Viet Tri Port in Viet Tri City.
