Incense offering ceremony in memory of Great Mother Au Co

On April 3 (the 6th day of the third lunar month), Phu Tho province held a solemn incense offering ceremony in memory of Great Mother Au Co at the Hung King Temple Historical Relic Site.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Committee; Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the Year of At Ty 2025. Also present were members of the organizing committee, local leaders from communes surrounding the relic site, and a large number of people and visitors from across the country.

Great Mother Au Co Temple, located atop Oc Son Mountain, the delegation, representing the people of Vietnam, respectfully presented incense, flowers, and offerings in remembrance of Great Mother Au Co—the legendary ancestral mother of the Vietnamese people. They prayed for her blessings upon the nation’s prosperity, peace, and the well-being of its people. The ceremony also reaffirmed Phu Tho Province’s commitment, alongside other provinces and cities nationwide, to maintaining political stability and successfully fulfilling socio-economic development goals in 2024.

In front of the sacred spirit of Great Mother Au Co, the Party Committee and the People’s Government of Phu Tho Province vowed to remain united, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and dedicate their efforts and wisdom to building a prosperous, civilized homeland. Their commitment contributes to laying a strong foundation for national development in the new era.
