Phu Tho win the gold medal at the 28th National Ethnic Wrestling Championship

The 28th National Ethnic Wrestling Championship in 2024 has officially concluded after three days of intense action from April 17 to 19 at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Relic Area in Ninh Binh province. Hanoi City ranks the first place in the whole group.

Phu Tho Wrestling Team had four athletes competing in three events: 60kg, 65kg and 75kg, with wrestler Le Dai Phuc taking home the gold medal in the 75kg weight category.

The tournament’s bouts draw a big crowd of spectators and visitors to cheer.

This year’s National Ethnic Wrestling Championship has almost 150 competitors from 15 delegations from provinces, cities, and sectors around the country, participating in 18 weight classes for men. This is the premier event in the Vietnam Wrestling Federation’s official competition system, including many top national athletes in thrilling and dramatic matches of the greatest professional standard. As a result, Phu Tho’s wrestlers have gained experience and will achieve more success in the future.
