Programs, policies, and investments for infrastructure development, poverty reduction, and building new rural areas in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the province have been funded under three national target programs, with a total projected capital allocation from the central government for the 2021-2025 period of 3,142 billion VND.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, Y Thong, congratulated and recognized the achievements of the Party, government, military, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho Province over the past period. He suggested that in the future, party committees, local governments, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and political-social organizations continue to study and raise awareness about the Party’s and the State’s viewpoints, guidelines, and policies on ethnic work, national unity, and ethnic policies in the new context. There should be innovation in thinking and decisive action with the highest political determination to fully utilize the province’s potential and advantages, concentrate resources on socio-economic development investment, enhance sustainable poverty reduction efforts, and improve the material and spiritual lives of ethnic minorities.
