On June 21, the Vietnam National Women’s Football Team, led by Head Coach Mai Duc Chung, offered incense in tribute to the Hung Kings at the Hung King Temple Historical Site. Joining the ceremony were representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

Coach Mai Duc Chung, along with team members and delegates, offered incense and reported their recent accomplishments to the Hung Kings.

At Thuong Temple, located at the summit of Nghia Linh Mountain, the coaching staff and players respectfully presented incense, flowers, and offerings in remembrance of the Hung Kings—who laid the foundations of the nation—and expressed gratitude for their contributions. The team also reported its notable achievements in recent years, including qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, eight SEA Games gold medals, and three Southeast Asian Championship titles.

In front of the ancestral spirits, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players pledged to remain united, train diligently, and compete with unwavering determination for the national flag and pride in three key tournaments this year: the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship, and the 33rd SEA Games to be held in Thailand—contributing to the growing strength of Vietnam’s sports sector.

In the near future, the team will concentrate on competing in Group E of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, which will take place at Viet Tri Stadium from June 29 to July 5—aiming to deliver exciting, high-quality matches for the home crowd.
