Announcement of the Provincial People’s Council Resolution on the Establishment of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs

On the afternoon of February 28, the Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to announce the Resolution of the Provincial People’s Council on the establishment of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs and the Decisions of the Provincial People’s Committee regarding personnel appointments for the department.

According to Resolution No. 01 of the Provincial People’s Council on the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs was established based on the Ethnic Affairs Committee, which has now been assigned additional functions and responsibilities in advising the Provincial People’s Committee on state management of religion and belief. Following the issuance of the Provincial People’s Council Resolution, the Provincial People’s Committee issued a Decision to appoint Mr. Cam Ha Chung, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee, as Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and Mr. Hoang Anh Nghia, Mr. Le Cong Luan, and Mr. Luu Ngoc Tram as Deputy Directors.

At the announcement conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Huy Ngoc, presented flowers to congratulate the newly appointed Director and Deputy Directors. He urged the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs to promptly stabilize its organizational structure, redefine functions and duties, and ensure a smooth transition by properly handing over and receiving personnel, assets, finances, records, and documents in accordance with regulations, thereby creating favorable conditions for staff to perform their duties effectively.
