On February 26, the People’s Council of Viet Tri City (Term XXI, 2021-2026) held its 8th special session to decide on the establishment and merger of certain specialized agencies under the Viet Tri City People’s Committee.
During the session, the People’s Committee of Viet Tri City presented several key documents, including: The Proposal and Draft Resolution on the restructuring and streamlining of specialized agencies under the City People’s Committee. The Verification Report from the Legal Affairs Committee regarding reports, proposals, and draft resolutions discussed at the session.
With a strong sense of responsibility towards voters and the city’s residents, the 8th Special Session of the Viet Tri City People’s Council (Term XXI, 2021-2026) unanimously approved the Resolution on the reorganization of specialized agencies under the City People’s Committee.
Following the restructuring, the number of specialized departments within the Viet Tri City People’s Committee has been reduced from 12 to 10, a 16.67% reduction. The establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the Viet Tri City People’s Committee are aligned with the Government’s and the province’s efforts to streamline administrative structures. This ensures consistency, uniformity, and interconnectivity in state management across sectors and fields from the central to local levels.
Additionally, this reform is closely tied to reducing personnel, restructuring, and improving the quality of civil servants and public employees, ensuring a balanced, capable, and well-qualified workforce that meets the demands of modern public administration. This resolution serves as the legal foundation for the City People’s Committee and relevant agencies to implement their tasks in the coming period.
At the same time, this restructuring is associated with staff reduction, organizational restructuring, and improving the quality of civil servants and public employees. It ensures a well-balanced workforce with appropriate staffing levels, professional competence, and capabilities to meet the operational demands of each agency, organization, and unit in the new era. This serves as a legal foundation for the City People’s Committee and relevant agencies to implement their tasks in the coming period.
