Meeting of the Council for Appraising Phu Tho Provincial Political School to Level 1 Standards

On December 3, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a meeting of the Council for Appraising Phu Tho Provincial Political School to Level 1 Standards according to Regulation No. 11-QD/TW dated May 19, 2021, of the Secretariat on standard political schools.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang chaired the meeting.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Council of Theory, and Chairman of the Appraisal Council—chaired the meeting.

Party members attending the meeting on behalf of Phu Tho province were Phung Khanh Tai, standing deputy secretary of the provincial party committee, and Bui Dinh Thi, member of the provincial party committee standing committee and head of the provincial party committee’s organization committee.

According to the survey and assessment report of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the application for recognition of Phu Tho Provincial Political School as meeting level 1 standards is complete and in accordance with regulations. The evidence attached to the criteria and indicators is complete, clear, scientifically arranged, and ensures legality. The process and content of self-assessment at the school level and provincial level assessment are carried out in accordance with Instruction No. 61-HD/HVCTQG dated May 17, 2024, of the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Regarding the results of reviewing the indicators, Phu Tho Provincial Political School has achieved 54/55 indicators (belonging to 6 groups of criteria), of which 7 indicators exceeded the standard, and 1 indicator requested comments.

Specifically: criteria on institutional regulations, the school achieved 1/1 indicator; criteria on staff, civil servants, the school achieved 29/29 indicators, of which 4 indicators exceeded the standard. Criteria for training and fostering activities, the school achieved 4/5 targets, 1 target for asking for opinions; criteria for scientific research activities, summarizing practices, the school achieved 9/9 targets, of which 2 targets exceeded the standard; criteria for building Party school culture, implementing discipline, the school achieved 8/8 targets; criteria for facilities, technical equipment, and finance, the school achieved 3/3 targets, of which 1 target exceeded the standard...

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai affirmed: In recent years, Phu Tho province has always paid attention to and attached importance to the work of training and fostering cadres. Despite many difficulties, the province has always paid attention to allocating resources to invest in facilities, improving the training quality of the Provincial Political School. Implementing Regulation No. 11-QD/TW of the Politburo, the Provincial Party Committee has issued a project and decided to establish a steering committee for implementation, with high determination and the spirit of resolving difficulties and problems; so far, all procedures have been fully implemented according to regulations and instructions.

Sincerely thanking the Council for its objective, dedicated, and responsible assessments, Phu Tho province will seriously absorb all opinions to continue to maintain the achieved results and further improve the quality of the standard political school criteria. The Provincial Party Committee will continue to pay attention to leading and directing the Provincial Political School to improve the quality of training, fostering, and scientific research; building the Party School culture; and attracting high-quality human resources to continue to maintain and comprehensively improve the quality of training and fostering of the school, towards the goal of improving the quality of the province’s cadres.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership, direction, and implementation of the project of Phu Tho province and the results achieved in building a standard provincial political school. He noted that achieving the standards is difficult; maintaining the standards is also not easy. Phu Tho Provincial Political School needs to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, in which it is necessary to focus on the quality of the staff and lecturers, the quality of training and fostering work, contributing to improving the quality of the province’s staff, maintaining solidarity, democracy, and discipline, and responsibility, setting an example, and not opening concentrated classes outside the school... Phu Tho province is interested in researching and developing plans to arrange district-level political training centers, reviewing the criteria, and proposing a specific roadmap to build a level 2 standard provincial political school in the shortest time.

With a sense of responsibility, impartiality, objectivity, and compliance with regulations, based on the data and evidence in the records, 100% of the council members attending the meeting agreed to propose recognizing Phu Tho Provincial Political School as meeting level 1 standards.
