On September 4, Comrade Bui Minh Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year with teachers and students of Van Lang Secondary School, Viet Tri City.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Van Lang Secondary School has 797 students achieving the title of Excellent Student at the city level or higher, including 33 Excellent Students at the International, National, and Regional levels. In the 2024-2025 school year high school entrance exam, the school had 57.7% of 9th grade students passing the entrance exam to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted and specialized schools of the Ministry of Education and Training, with 7 valedictorians of specialized classes and many students scoring 10 points in the exam subjects. For the provincial excellent student exam, the school had 18 first prizes, 47 second prizes, 45 third prizes, and 29 encouragement prizes.

Along with that, cultural, sports, life skills education, and life values activities for students are given special attention, contributing to building a safe, friendly, and effective educational environment and meeting the educational tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Minh Chau praised the party committees at all levels, the government, and the people of Viet Tri City for sharing responsibility to build Van Lang Secondary School into one of the outstanding units, leading the secondary school sector in the whole province.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized: In the 2023-2024 school year, under the leadership of party committees and authorities at all levels, with the participation of the entire political system and the support of the people, the education and training sector of the province has constantly innovated management work, improved the quality of teaching and learning, and effectively implemented the goals and tasks of education and training, actively contributing to the achievements of socio-economic development of the province.

At the end of the school year, Phu Tho province continued to maintain its position in the top of the country in terms of education and training quality; it was ranked 8th nationwide in the National High School Graduation Exam; ranked 10th at the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024; and ranked 2nd nationwide in the Contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style." These are proud results and have the positive contributions of teachers and students of Van Lang Secondary School.

In order for the province’s Education and Training to develop in the right direction, creating positive changes in improving quality and efficiency, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Van Lang Secondary School in particular and schools in the province in general to focus on thoroughly grasping, comprehensively, and concretizing 12 groups of tasks and basic solutions in the spirit of the Ministry of Education and Training’s direction on key tasks in the 2024-2025 school year.

Continue to well implement the Party and State’s guidelines and policies, focusing on Conclusion No. 91 of the Politburo on continuing to innovate education and training, contributing to the strong and solid development of Phu Tho education, and contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

The team of managers and teachers needs to continuously innovate the curriculum, content, and teaching and learning methods according to the knowledge and skills standards suitable for each subject and group of students according to actual conditions; improve the quality of comprehensive education and key education.
