The delegation of Phu Tho province pays tribute to the heroic martyrs in Quang Tri

Towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on July 4-6, the delegation of Phu Tho province led by Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, as Head of the delegation, respectfully offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Martyrs' Cemetery, Quang Tri Citadel - Quang Tri province and visited the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh province.

In a sacred atmosphere, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Quang and the Phu Tho Provincial Delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, rang the prayer bell, offered incense and wreaths at the Memorial of Martyrs and Heroes of Truong Son National Martyrs’ Cemetery in Gio Linh district and National Martyrs’ Cemetery on Road 9, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province.

The delegation of Phu Tho province came to offer incense and wreaths at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel. During the resistance war against the Americans to save the country, this place was recorded in the nation’s history as a shining milestone of revolutionary heroism with a steadfast fight to protect the Citadel and Quang Tri Town for 81 historical days and nights in 1972. In such a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered incense, laid wreaths, lit incense and spent a moment of silence to commemorate the fallen heroes.

Also in the thanks-giving program in the Central provinces on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the delegation visited the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Dao Yen, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.
