In the atmosphere of the whole country eagerly celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), on April 26, Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to relatives of martyrs and families with meritorious services to the revolution in Thanh Son District.

Delegates kindly inquire about the health of war invalids on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification.
During the visits, Mr. Phung Khanh Tai met with Mother Dinh Thi Vi, born in 1932, residing in the Go Giua area, Dich Qua Commune, who lost two sons—Dinh Van Hoan and Dinh Van Cuu—both heroic martyrs in the struggle for national liberation and defense; Mr. Dinh Cong Son’s family in Pho Vang, Thanh Son Town, which has four war invalids; and Mr. Vuong Viet Tien, a 24% class war invalid living in Thanh Son Town, who fought in the Southern battlefield and was exposed to toxic chemicals, suffering an injury rate of up to 85%.

At each household, the Standing Deputy Secretary and the delegation presented gifts from the President, the province, and the district, and extended warm inquiries into the families’ health and well-being. He expressed deep gratitude for the immense sacrifices made by families with preferential policies, relatives of martyrs, and those who shed blood for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the peace and happiness of the people. He affirmed that the province remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services through a variety of specific and practical measures.

He hoped that these families would continue to uphold revolutionary traditions, encourage younger generations to live in harmony and solidarity, and promote the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. He encouraged them to be role models in patriotic emulation movements, actively engage in production and economic development, and continuously improve their quality of life.
At the same time, he urged local Party committees and authorities to maintain their focus on supporting such families—creating favorable conditions for them to enhance their livelihoods and contribute to building a richer, more beautiful homeland.
