Provincial leaders visit and congratulate the Military Region 2 Command

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day, on December 19, the delegation of Phu Tho province led by Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, standing deputy secretary of the provincial party committee, visited and congratulated the party committee, command, and agencies of Military Region 2.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai delivered a congratulatory speech to the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 2.

Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Phan Trong Tan, member of the Provincial Party Committee and vice chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Military Command; and leaders of Viet Tri city. Receiving the delegation was Major General Nguyen Dang Khai, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 2.

Presenting flowers and congratulating the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phung Khanh Tai sent his best wishes to the comrades in the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command and all officers and soldiers on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.

Since its establishment, the Vietnam People’s Army has always been worthy of the trust that beloved President Ho Chi Minh, as well as the Party, State, and People, have placed in the fighting army, the working army, and the production army. As the locality where Military Region 2 is stationed, over the years, Phu Tho province has always received the attention, help, and support of the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command in local military and defense work as well as the political tasks of the provincial armed forces. Thereby, contributing to maintaining national defense and security, creating favorable conditions for the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee to lead and direct the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals, party building, and building a strong political system.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that when the recent storm No. 3 caused damage in the province, the military units of Military Region 2 did not hesitate to mobilize forces and means day and night to support Phu Tho province in rescue, disaster relief, overcoming damage, stabilizing the lives of people in flooded areas, and maintaining smooth traffic when Phong Chau Bridge collapsed. Those images have contributed to shining a light on Uncle Ho’s soldiers in peacetime and beautifying the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting, and growing of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army.

From the achieved results, Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, hopes that the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command will continue to pay attention to Phu Tho province in all aspects, especially in military and local defense work, creating a driving force for the province to soon achieve the goal of becoming a leading province in the Northern Midlands and Mountains.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Military Region 2 Command, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Military Region Nguyen Dang Khai respectfully thanked the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho province for the Military Region 2 Armed Forces in general and the military units stationed in the area in particular on the occasion of the important anniversary of the entire army. This is a spiritual motivation for the officers and soldiers of the Military Region to work with peace of mind and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State, and People.

The Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 also congratulated the outstanding and comprehensive results that Phu Tho province achieved in 2024, including the excellent completion of the provincial KVPT exercise. At the same time, he affirmed that the Party Committee, the Command of Military Region 2, officers, and soldiers of the Military Region’s armed forces will continue to stand side by side with the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Phu Tho province in coordinating the organization and implementation of all tasks, contributing to maintaining stability in the area, creating favorable conditions for the province to develop comprehensively.
